‘THE RHYTHM OF THEIR BUBBLES’ presents the work of four women artists. Four explorations of ‘bubbles’ as if spaces, with their own rhythms. Between figurative and more abstract painting, combining different techniques and mediums such as photography, painting, and textiles, their works evoke multiple spaces and environments —the city, the mountain, chaos, and intimacy— each one pulsating according to its own compass, tempting the spectators to let themselves follow the dynamism of each work, becoming submerged in their spaces and exploring their rhythms.
Llinos Owen and P. S. Bock present everyday moments and offer glimpses of life in the clubs of London or in the streets of Bogotá. Memory, personal experience, and identity are reflected in the texture of the works, whether it’s in Owen’s textiles or Bock’s strokes, and invite the audience to come into their stories. More abstract, the work of Clarissa Ferrario is a study of form and color in which they intertwine in order to create oneiric, almost surrealist landscapes that remind us of the atmosphere of summer, peace, and tranquility. Finishing the quartet, Filippa Moberg reflects on the tension between what the image reveals and what it hides, as well as what changes when it is presented in different forms. How does the image change when it leaves the rigidity of paper and enters the fluidity of cotton? Coming from different parts of the world and working with different mediums, this group of artists —all women— gets together in ‘THE RHYTHM OF THEIR BUBBLES’ to open and claim new spaces, exploring the sounds and movements that awaken in each one of them.
